Exchange with Taylor University: experiences that enrich

In recent weeks the Taylor Foundation of Ecuador opened its call for students of the University of Azuay to travel to the United States, improve their English, live an American university experience and can study subjects related to their career.

The application and instructions are on the page www.taylorecuador.com and the application with the documents must be sent to the mail mrlarrea@taylor.edu until the December 8 of the 2017.

One of the students of the UDA that took advantage of this opportunity is Paulina Salamea, for whom her trip to Taylor University in the United States "has been one of the greatest experiences I have had in my life".

Paulina was a girl with a common life, she studied Business Administration in the UDA, she complied with her homework, she attended classes regularly, she studied, she went out to parties and walks, she enjoyed her college years and with her friends they had a great time .

His trip to Taylor began on a normal day when he was entering college to see a friend, he observed a flyer about an exchange conducted by this North American university.

Then he took a photo and entered the web page looking for information, to like what he saw he talked with his parents and after pondering his options he decided to take risks and apply to live something new.

The selection process included filling out tests that measure the level of English knowledge and personal interviews.

Paulina, a young woman from 23 who was a few months away from graduation, went on a trip in February to the state of Indiana, United States.

Seeing the size of the university was intimidating, it felt like a citadel, although being accompanied by a friend did not feel so self-conscious, that changed when they were assigned rooms, because they were all separated.

But Paulina, cheerful and friendly, quickly became friends even though it was difficult because she did not completely master the language.

After a couple of days they started classes that normally lasted until four in the afternoon: in English they improved their speech, writing and comprehension, but they could also take subjects related to their specialty.

All this created great memories and memories that will last forever.

"It's an incredible experience and I definitely recommend it to everyone who can, it was something I can not explain, something unique."
