Interuniversity meeting of Psychology and Communication

On November 22, the first inter-institutional meeting of Psychology and Communication was held between the University of Azuay and the University of Cuenca, in which teachers and students from the degrees of Psychology and Social Communication from both universities participated.

This event has been proposed as a space to generate debate, reflection and discussion on topics of common interest between both careers based on human communication.

The objective was to share knowledge and projects of both institutions in order to strengthen relations between universities.

"It is good that the family is united, I believe that the brothers should be together; the brothers of psychology and communication are so close that it is good to share our successes, our limitations and projects; It is good to join forces to walk together and I believe that now is the beginning of this journey that we can achieve with the support of teachers, students and authorities, "said Gerardo Peña, Coordinator of the School of Clinical Psychology at the UDA.

At the event, lectures were given by the professors of the careers and an exhibition and support of works carried out by the students of Psychology and Communication on thematic research of personal interest related to communication and psychology.

The first conference of the morning was "Axioms of Human Communication" with the speakers Lucia Cordero and Mónica Aguilar, followed by "Introduction to Social Communication and Communication" by Ana María Durán and Wilson Gárate.

Introduction to "Organizational behavior" was the fourth topic presented by Mónica Rodas, followed by talks "Communication assertive with the couple" by Silvia López and "Communication and Psychoanalysis" by René Zalamea and Fernanda Cordero.

To end the Interinstitutional Meeting, the best work by the students was awarded in three different categories, two of which were won by the students of the Social Communication and Advertising career of the UDA.

In the first category -Best Technical Support- the winners were Sabrina Villota, Ana Peña and Gabriela Serrano with the work "Start your business with good leadership" and in the second category -Best graphic structure- the awarded students were Angelica Mejía, Dayana Parrales, Tatiana Gómez and David Ávila with their work "How important is the leadership of a company".
