Chorus of the UDA participates in the "The Magic Flute"

During the 15th, 16th and 17th of November, the presentation of the opera “La Fluuta Mágica” was held at the Carlos Cueva Tamariz theater with the participation of the choir of the University of Azuay.

Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this work was presented in our city thanks to the Hungarian Ecuadorian MusArtEH Foundation, in co-production with the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra and the Southern District Grand Lodge.

Javier Andrade Córdova, stage director, commented that the staging has approximately 125 local and national artists, including musicians and assistants.

"It is too complex a work that requires a lot of preparation, it is a huge effort and that is why we invite the public to help consolidate the idea that Cuenca can be a city of opera production," he said.

The UDA Choir, under the direction of the teacher María Eugenia Arias, is once again part of an operatic project of this magnitude, after its participation in the presentation of La Traviata.

But the Dance Company of the University of Azuay also participated in this occasion through some videos that were presented during the show.
