On October 18 and 20, a new edition of the Permanent Symposium of Thought about the University was held in the Auditorium of the UDA, where the new educational model of our Institution was presented to the teachers and administrative staff.

In the event, Diego Jaramillo, responsible for the Symposium, gave a brief explanation about this educational model.

Professor Jaramillo expressed that this reflection that the university community has undertaken through the Permanent Symposium and all its spaces of deliberation within the University are processes that will achieve the university project that is to be achieved.

For his part, Francisco Salgado, Rector of the University of Azuay, spoke about the fundamental objective that the University has as an institution, which is to train citizens capable of transforming the world, of forming and dignifying the human being in the superior and for the higher.

"This is an issue for all of us and if we want to promote this educational model we can not do it separately, authorities or career coordinators; It is everyone's job, "said the Rector, adding:

"We must train great professionals, but that is not enough, we must train people who know how to act in society, fulfill their obligations and know how to defend their rights; those are true citizens. "
