The II Congress of Foreign Trade and International Negotiation filled the auditorium of the University

The II Congress of Foreign Trade and International Negotiation (CCENI) took place between the 14, 15 and 16 of June in the Auditorium of the University of Azuay with the participation of 13 national and international experts.

Among the speakers we can mention José Durán Lima, head of the Regional Integration Unit; Nicolás Eberhart, representative of Latin America of ETHIQUABLE; Régula Chávez, representative in Ecuador of SwissContact and Andrés Briones Vargas, local director in Guayaquil of the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters FEDEXPOR.

Xavier Patiño, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuenca; Roberto Rosales, director of CBS Network Ecuador; Teodoro Benavides, coordinator of Foreign Trade of the Chamber of Commerce of Quito; Patricio Estrada, president of ICEXCOMERCIO SA .; María Elisa Muñoz, who is in charge of DCuero Shoes and Antonio Torres Dávila, professor at the University of Azuay.

The topics discussed in the congress were the following: trade policy of Ecuador, fair trade, sustainable value chains for exports, international negotiation, foreign investment, Supply Chain Management, public-private incentives for exports, Internationalization of SMEs, financing for exports, electronic commerce and Exchange -compensated- countertrade.

The event was attended by 450 attendees from both the Universidad del Azuay and other universities in the country such as the ESPE University, the University of Santiago de Guayaquil, the Catholic University of Guayaquil, UPL University of Loja, among others.

For Oscar Abarca, president of the congress, the objective was to create a scenario where students from different universities related to this topic can learn, learn about new trends and new developments in international trade.

"The University of Azuay is characterized by entrepreneurship and proactivity of its students, is the only university in the city to organize such a large event, which has exceeded the expectations of the people who have come and has become a reference at the level national ", concluded Abarca.
