The UDA presented its management course of museums and cultural centers

On Friday 19 in May, the Continuing Education course of the University of Azuay "Organization and Management of Museums and Cultural Centers" was presented at the Remigio Crespo Toral Museum.

This course is a response to the growing cultural activity in Cuenca and the need to train people in aesthetic, museographic, educational and administrative criteria, essential for the reflective development of these spaces.

The event began with the words of René Cardoso, Director of the Casa-Museo Remigio Crespo Toral, who highlighted the importance of creating and strengthening the link between cultural centers and the Academy.

Francisco Salgado Arteaga, Rector of the University of Azuay, emphasized in his speech the importance of the articulated and multidisciplinary work that makes this type of project possible.

Eliana Bojorque. Coordinator of the course, intervened with a presentation of the objectives, schedules and curriculum of the program: "This is an opportunity to update knowledge in methodology, techniques and lines of research in the field of culture, art, and management of their centers. "

To conclude this session, a letter of cooperation was signed between the Remigio Crespo Toral House-Museum and the Faculty of Design of the University of Azuay, which aims to promote academic-cultural activities, research and links with society.

At the end of the ceremony, those present were invited to a guided tour of the museum.
