Administration exhibits and awards projects of Popular and Solidarity Economy

The School of Business Administration held the 3 in May, a project exhibition fair in which groups belonging to the Popular and Solidarity Economy segment presented their projects in the areas of knitting, embroidery and food.

The event was part of the program of linkage with the community "Training and technical assistance to strengthen the capacities and potential of the vulnerable sectors identified in the 6 area".

The program involved 20 people and 9 associations and lasted 250 hours divided into six modules: Customer Service, Operations Management, Accounting, IT and Projects.

Ximena Moscoso, Subdecana of the Faculty of Administration Sciences, said that it is a great satisfaction for the Faculty to have provided "these tools" so that the trained people can improve their lives and their jobs.

In the evening the winning enterprise was chosen, the Teje Mujer project, which received a check for 5 thousand dollars from the Avanzar Foundation so that it can continue with its business.

María Muy, a craftswoman from Teje Mujer, thanked the UDA and commented that she and the other trained people have already begun to "transmit to other compañeras" the knowledge they have learned.
