Presence of engineer of the UDA in international congress in New York

Christian Moyano, a professor at the School of Civil Engineering at the Universidad del Azuay, had the opportunity to present two research articles in the form of posters at the International Congress of the University of New York last March 23.

The congress had two modalities: the first one of magisterial conferences and the second one an exhibition of diverse investigations in the modality of posters of dimensions 90x120cm.

On his participation in the congress the engineer said: "12 posters were exhibited around 2, the importance of this is to be able to transmit the first results of the research to the participants of the congress and to the teachers".

The first poster deals with a proposal to estimate air pollution due to the circulation of vehicles in the city of Cuenca and the second one talks about a methodology for the establishment of school transport studies.

Engineer Moyano mentioned that they were fortunate that both articles were accepted by the review committee of the University of New York.

"It was a great joy to be able to participate in the congress as the only invited Latin American university, where I counted on the support of Engineer Jairo Ortega, teacher of the ESPOCH (Polytechnic School of Chimborazo), who has collaborated in academic research", affirmed Moyano and added:

"We were able to attend this first level event together with 4 students from the school and we came back with many ideas that the professors of the different universities have transmitted to us to try to apply them in the immediate future within our University."
