The UDA opens a new website

As of January of 2017, the new web portal of the University of Azuay begins, operating for all members of the university community as students, teachers and administrative staff, as well as future students of the institution.

"The services of student users, teaching and administrative staff have been unified so that each of them can find in one place what corresponds to their academic interest, through a unique authentication", explains Katherine Ortiz of ICT Support .

In the case of students, the new site will allow them to find their grades, faults, schedules, email, teacher evaluation and other services.

Teachers will access the system of grades, absences, list of students, academic monitoring, class material, email, among others.

The administrative staff will enter the assistance system, their email and all the information relevant to their work.

The project was born a year ago in the General Deanship of Investigations and the formal proposal was presented in March of 2016 to the Executive Council.

“It began with the interface design, applying the main methodology of Jessy James Garret, among others. Focus groups, interviews, surveys were formed to establish and define the strategy and scope of the website based on the needs of the users, ”said Ortiz.

Although the site starts to work this January, certain sections of the previous platform will still be seen on the new page. All the migration of the contents will be done gradually.
