They prepare the ninth edition of the magazine created at the UDA

The editors of ̈ Health to the sponge ̈, a magazine that was founded more than two decades ago in the classrooms of the University of Azuay (UDA), are preparing the ninth edition through a call for writers, photographers, journalists and poets, who can now share their work.

Juan Carlos Astudillo, director of the magazine, explained that a new section is opened for the new work: chronicle, and that it must comply with the parameters to consider the publication, mainly with the extension.

For poetry and short stories, the minimum length is four pages and the maximum six; for essay and chronicle, between four and eight pages; while, for photography and illustration, between two and four pages.

The editorial team will receive the works until November 15, by mail: salutelaesponja@gmail.com. After that date the works will be reviewed and sponsors will be sought for the printing of the magazine. Astudillo said that the aspiration is that the ninth edition of Salud a la Esponja be available by the first quarter of 2021. Until then, readers can review the magazine number eight, in which there are stories and poems by almost twenty authors, among them: Carlos Vásconez, Camila Peña and Naralia García; in addition to photographs and essays.
