Civil Engineering
The civil engineer, in the exercise of the profession, will be able to plan, design, project, build, operate, supervise and improve systems in all areas of construction; quality, safety and environmental protection; aspects that constitute the foundation of the structuring of the contents and the development process of the study programs, they will be able to prevent and evaluate risks in different works, they will be professionals who manage and interpret specialized computer programs applied to the design of projects, who undertake, organize and manage appraisal work, budget analysis, and project supervision. In an ethical manner, they will apply technical and legal norms and regulations in the profession that contribute with their actions to the sustainable development of the country.

Professional Profile

Occupational field
The Civil Engineer will be able to apply his knowledge in the public sphere in all the entities that develop construction works of different types, and in the private sphere as an entrepreneur in construction, contracting of works, inspection, risk assessments, etc.
Applying theoretical principles and concepts, you will be able to develop consultancies with technical analysis and design in different areas of civil engineering: structures, hydrosanitary, roads, geotechnics, construction management.
On the other hand, the civil engineer graduated from the University of Azuay, will also be trained by the knowledge acquired, to apply for master's and doctoral programs to specialize and/or dedicate himself to research.
