BASIS FOR COMPETITIONS FACULTY OF SCIENCES OF THE ADMINISTRATION

 

Category: 1 Auxiliary Holder

Dedication: Part time

 

Applicants must submit the following documents:

a) Application on university paper addressed to Professor Francisco Salgado, PH.D, Rector of the University of Azuay and signed by the applicant. In addition, the contest for which you are applying will be indicated, the documents that are attached will be detailed and the address, telephone numbers and email for notifications will be indicated.

b) Original or copy of the third level professional title registered in SENESCYT and required in the call.

c) Original or copy of the Fourth Level qualifying title, registered in the SENESCYT required for the contest.

d) Copy of the citizenship card or passport and voting certificate.

e) Curriculum vitae with supporting documentation in accordance with Art. 13 of the Regulation for the Selection of Titular Academic Personnel of the University of Azuay, which certifies the training and academic experience, publications and the others required in this Regulation, as well as in the Internal Regulations for the Career and Teaching Rank of the University of Azuay and in the Rules of the Career and Rank of the Professor and researcher of the current Higher Education System. (The University of Azuay reserves the right to verify the authenticity of the documents presented by the applicants).

 

PHASES OF THE CONTEST.

 

The contest will have two phases: one of suitability and merit; and another opposition. The merits will be qualified on 30 points and the opposition will be qualified on 70 points.

 

1 Suitability and merits phase:

The attached documents must be presented organized according to article 13 of the Regulation of Selection of Academic Personnel of the University of Azuay.

 

For qualification of suitability: The constant academic requirements in the call:

• Title of Third Level according to the requirement of the call.
• Title of Fourth Level according to the requirement of the call.
• Certificates that certify the fulfillment of the minimum time of experience in university teaching required in the Internal Regulation of Career and Teaching Escalafon of the University of Azuay.

 

Failure to comply with one of these requirements disqualifies the applicant automatically. Only applicants who have been qualified as suitable will go on to the merit qualification stage.

 

For qualification of merits:

• Fourth level diplomas recognized by the SENESCYT: Doctorate (PhD); Master's degree. When the same studies have given rise to more than one title, only the one that gives the highest score will be graded.
• Publications made in the last five years: Books or book chapter with peer review, relevant works, articles in indexed journals; and, presentations in congresses or conferences.
• Distinctions: Preserves to the university or professional student merit, Honorato Vázquez award; qualification of the university degree certificates with outstanding; recommendation of publication of research work in degree certificates.
• Update in the last five years: Improvement courses in the field of knowledge.

2 Opposition phase: The opposition tests will be:

• Written test.
• Simulation of class and / or exhibition of research on the field of knowledge required and nature of the call.
• Evaluation of the contestant's academic career.

 

Of the written test: Evaluate the level of knowledge of the participants in the area or areas of knowledge of the call; will be rated over thirty points. The duration will be determined by the court.

From the simulation of class and / or exhibition of research on the field of knowledge: Will allow to evaluate the performance of the contestant as a teacher and researcher. The rating will be about thirty points. It will have a maximum duration of two hours. Due to the nature of this test, the results of the test will not be contestable.

Of the Evaluation of the academic trajectory of the contestant: It will be held before the Academic Trajectory Evaluation Commission and will evaluate the applicants according to their trajectory dedicated to the academy, science, education, professional and citizen activity; It will be done orally and will have a value of 10 points with a maximum duration of two hours. Due to the nature of this test, the results of the test can not be challenged.

 

DETERMINATION OF THE TRIUMPHANT IN THE CONTEST

 

A winner will be declared who obtains the highest score in both phases. To be declared a winner, at least 75 points will have to be obtained. If there is only one participant that meets the requirements and minimum points indicated, it will be declared the winner.
