Scope and Motivation

With the aim of becoming the event of reference in the field of software engineering in the Iberomerican scope, CIbSE takes the post from IDEAS to promote the investigation of quality in the field, in the Spanish and Portuguese languages.

Conceived as a forum dedicated to the diffusion of activities and research results of teachers, students, researchers and industrial professionals in the Iberomerican scope, CIbSE builds on 12 successful previous editions of IDEAS held in several Iberomerican countries:  Torres-Brasil (IDEAS'98), San José-Costa Rica (IDEAS'99), Cancún-México (IDEAS'00), Heredia-Costa Rica (IDEAS'01), La Habana-Cuba (IDEAS'02), Asunción-Paraguay (IDEAS'03), Arequipa-Perú (IDEAS'04), Valparaíso-Chile (IDEAS'05), La Plata-Argentina (IDEAS'06), Isla de Margarita-Venezuela (IDEAS'07), Pernambuco-Brasil (IDEAS’08) and Medellín-Colombia (IDEAS’09) .

CIbSE 2010 will be held in Cuenca, Ecuador, and is jointly organized by the University of Azuay, University of Pacifico and the University of Cuenca.

The event will feature article presentations, tutorial courses, a doctoral symposium, meetings of research groups with similar interests and invited lectures of recognized experts. CIbSE welcomes contributions in the official languages of the conference Portuguese, Spanish or English.
