ADMISSION PROCESS SEMESTER SEPTEMBER 2017 - FEBRUARY 2018

DATES

·       Registration from Tuesday, May 2nd through Tuesday, July 4th, 2017.

·       UDA General Skill Exam (GSE)  on Saturday, June 24th and July 8th, 2017.

·       Passing UDA GES scores will be posted from july 11th to july 13th

·       Compulsory Pre-university course registration at each Faculty from July 13th to July 20th, 2017.

·       Pre-university courses from July 24th to August 4th, 2017.

·       Entrance exam on August 7th and 8th.

·       Results release on August 9th and 10th.

·       Admission process for careers that have not reached their quota from August  28th to 30th 2017.

 

 

Selection process for first semester applicants

 

The selection process for applicants to the University of Azuay consists of the following stages:

1.     Personal information registration and UDA GSE date selection.

2.     Selection of applicants based on the UDA GSE.

3.     Pre-university course registration (Mandatory).

4.     Entrance exam.

 

1. PERSONAL INFORMATION REGISTRATION AND SELECTION OF THE UDA EXAM DATE

First semester applicants registration through the university website.

Prior to the online registration and during the registration dates, first semester candidates must deposit a pre-registration fee ($50) at Banco del Austro, bank account number 3000135541 under the name Universidad del Azuay.

Two days after making the deposit, the applicants must enter their personal information on the registration link in addition to the ten-digit code located on the deposit slip. This payment is valid for a one-time registration.

Once the code has been entered, the applicant may fill out the form.

 

 

Personal information registration form

 

When entering the form, the applicant must register the information and average grades of each of the last three high school years however, if the applicant is in the last year it is needed to register the average grade corresponding to the prior two years and the first partial grade of the last year of high school. Grades must be registered with two decimal places, and they must be the same as the ones recorded in the official school records from the institution where the applicant had studied.

The applicant must choose in the form the date to take the UDA exam. After this point, the pre-registration will be saved in the database of the university. In addition, the applicant must download the UDA General Skills Exam manual.

If the applicant studied abroad and his / her grades are expressed in qualitative form (example: outstanding, very good, good, regular or A, B, C, D) or in scales other than those allowed on the form (10 or 20), the system will allow you to save the form without registering the grades.

The applicant must register the information for one career only.

 

Modification of registration

 

The applicant may make changes in the registration until July 4, 2017.

 

 

2. SELECTION OF APPLICANTS THROUGH THE UDA GENERAL SKILLS EXAM

 

After the registration deadline, the University will carry out the selection process by examining general skills (basic mathematics and language) based on the manual given to the student during the registration.

The UDA general skills exam could be taken on any of the following dates: Saturday June 24th, on Saturday July 1rst and on July 8th, 2017.

The applicant will receive an email notification with the results of this process through at the registered account. Notifications will be sent until Thursday, July 13th, 2017. Students who pass the UDA Exam must enroll in the pre-university courses offered by each Faculty.

 

 

3. PRE-UNIVERSITY COURSE

The candidate who received an email with a notification about his or her selection, must register in the pre-university course.

The registration process runs from Thursday July 12th, 2017 to Thursday  July 20th, 2017. The fee of the course is $120.

Process of pre-u registration

 

1.   You can pay the fee at BANCO DEL AUSTRO or at the treasury of the university (Universidad Del Azuay).

2.   After 24 hours, enter to the form to select the schedule available.

 

If the selected candidates do not pay on time, their quota will be assigned to other applicants..

Treasury opening hours: 8h30 a 12h30 y de 15h00 a 19h00.

Pre-university course length: The course will last two weeks (from July 24th to August 4th).

 

4. FINAL EXAMINATION

Monday August 7th and Tuesday August 8th, 2017, at each faculty.

The results of the admission process will be published in the data consultation link on August 9th and 10th, 2017.

Students who approve the admission process will be able to enroll in the first semester.Horarios de atención en las secretarías de facultad

From 07:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 to  9:00 pm.

Medicine

From 07:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

 

Graduate Admissions

Professionals interested in enrolling the graduate programs offered by the University of Azuay need to:

Pay the registration fee in the University Treasury. ($ 50.00).
Enter the data of the registration fee in the web page of the University in the section corresponding to the postgraduate program that the aspirant is interested in.
Enter the personal and academic data in the electronic file of the postgraduate program.
Upload the resume in the digital file; attach documents that evidence the applicant's undergraduate education, registration of the title on the SENESCYT website and certificate of English proficiency.

The Student Welfare Department, MiUDA, offers guidance, information and advice to undergraduate and graduates students who wish to enter the University.

MiUDA aims to foster an atmosphere of respect for values, physical, psychological and sexual integrity of all the stakeholder of the university community.

In this department you will be able to find information about the academic offer of the University, the different academic and administrative procedures related to the student life and the opportunities of insertion in the job market.

The Medical Department is located in front of the cafeteria, in the central campus.

The Dental Department is located on top floor of the doctor's office.

Psychological Department: Psychological assistance and personal accompaniment.

The Psychological Department is located on the third floor of the IERSE, computation and research building.
